Wccftech reports that Amazon has cut $200 from the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air configured with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD, bringing the listed price to $1,599. Other configurations are also discounted, but the size and availability of the offer may change.

Amazon has discounted the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air configured with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD by $200, bringing its reported price to $1,599, according to Wccftech. The deal concerns the top-tier configuration described in the report; Amazon pricing and stock can change, and the article does not establish how long the offer will last.

The reported $1,599 price represents an $200 reduction from the configuration’s stated regular price, a discount Wccftech describes as 11 percent. The report calls it the lowest price for this model on Amazon, but it does not provide a price-history record or specify the period used to make that comparison. Readers should treat the lowest-price characterization as Wccftech’s description rather than an independently verified price history.

Wccftech says Amazon has also marked down other 13-inch M5 MacBook Air configurations, with discounts of $150 rather than $200. Those models reportedly start at $1,449.99. The report does not list every configuration or give a full breakdown of their memory and storage options, so buyers should check the selected model and checkout price before purchasing.

The discounted model is listed with Apple’s M5 chip, a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, alongside 24GB of unified memory and 1TB of storage. The article also describes a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera, a four-speaker system, two Thunderbolt ports, MagSafe charging, a headphone jack and Touch ID. Those are product specifications, not independent test results; the performance language in the deal report is promotional rather than a measured comparison.

Why 24GB and 1TB Matter

The configuration pairs more memory and storage with a $200 reduction, which may make it more appealing to buyers who expect to keep a laptop for several years or work with sizable files. Unified memory in this MacBook Air is not user-upgradeable after purchase, according to the report, so the 24GB configuration is a decision buyers make at checkout rather than an upgrade they can add later.

A 1TB SSD provides more built-in capacity for applications, documents, photos and video than smaller-drive options. That can reduce how often a user needs to manage files across external storage or cloud services, though whether the extra capacity is worth the premium depends on individual workloads and storage habits. The discount narrows the price of this higher-spec model; it does not establish that it is the best-value option for every buyer.

For people comparing laptops, the offer also highlights the trade-off between purchasing a more capable configuration now and spending less on a base model. The reported starting price for other discounted configurations is $1,449.99, $149.01 below the deal price for the 24GB/1TB model. The article does not provide enough configuration detail to compare the models feature by feature, so shoppers should weigh the actual specifications shown in the listing rather than relying on the headline discount alone.

The Air Deal and Its Specs

The MacBook Air is positioned as Apple’s thin, lightweight laptop. Wccftech puts the 13-inch model at roughly 2.7 pounds and describes its design as fanless, which means it operates without a cooling fan. Apple rates battery life at up to 18 hours, a manufacturer rating rather than a guarantee of the same runtime under every workload. Actual battery life can vary with settings and use.

The deal report also points to the laptop’s display, camera and audio features, as well as its Thunderbolt ports and MagSafe connector. These details may matter to people choosing a portable computer for travel, video calls or a mix of everyday tasks. However, Wccftech’s article does not supply benchmark results, independent battery testing or a direct comparison with other laptops. Its claims that the machine can handle editing and multitasking should be read as an assessment, not as a published test finding.

Wccftech disclosed that it may earn a commission if readers buy through an affiliate link. That commercial relationship is relevant when evaluating a shopping article: the reported listing price and product specifications can be checked at the retailer, while recommendations and descriptions of performance should not be mistaken for independent lab results.

“The top-tier 13-inch M5 MacBook Air listed on Amazon has dropped to its lowest price on the online retailer thanks to a $200 discount.”

Price, Stock and Deal Duration

The reported price is a time-sensitive Amazon listing, not a guaranteed offer. Wccftech does not state an end date, confirm how many units are available, or say whether the $1,599 price applies to every shopper. Retailer prices can shift, and eligibility or delivery details may vary.

The report also does not provide a dated price-history analysis supporting its description of the offer as the model’s lowest Amazon price. Nor does it identify all the configurations receiving $150 discounts. The listing at checkout is the relevant place to confirm the selected memory, storage, final price and availability. No independent performance testing is included to verify the article’s claims about demanding creative or AI workloads.

Check the Listing Before Buying

Readers interested in the offer can check Amazon’s current listing for the 24GB memory and 1TB SSD configuration, confirm that the price remains $1,599, and compare it with other discounted models. They should also review taxes, delivery, return terms and the exact selected configuration before placing an order.

There is no stated next announcement or scheduled change to the promotion. The practical next development is whether Amazon keeps the reported price and stock available; Wccftech’s article gives no end date. Buyers should treat the discount as subject to change rather than a lasting price commitment.
